Wisdom may come your way if you listen to the urge to explore. “Devils Tower” or “Bear Lodge” as it was known to the Native American cultures, is more than just a geological marvel. Early this autumn morning while perched on the face of the rock, I meditate. I seek to inquire about what the meaning and purpose of this magnificent formation is from earth. While tuning into the energies of its nature, the rock gifted me an overwhelming sensation of home, love, and grounded security. There is a notion of respect and a feeling palpable through my spine that speaks to the union of all beings. Upon opening my eyes I could see birds and antelope far off in the distance and intuitively knew that they felt the same energy from the rock on one level or another. My experience of union with the universe was powerful, and would surely carry on as a lesson from earth not to be forgotten. But why had Gaia created this rock? From the ancient magma that formed many millions of years ago, the clear message of unity that I received spoke to a reason of love and balance in life. It was there to heal inevitable malicious intent. Just like there cannot be a front without a back, there cannot be love without evil. This Tower of rock emanated uniting frequencies to combat ego driven forces that seek to disconnect consciousness from its source. I cannot help but to now become more curious about what else Mother Earth has grown as sources of this healing energy. In the end, I crawled down the steep boulder field at the base of the rock face, and walked away happy.
