Adventure and Awakening – Using the Law of Attraction to Manifest Your Dream World

As a guest on Larry Morrison’s podcast, “The Journey Inward: Uncovering Universal Truth” I had the privilege to share my story of adventure and awakening. In this Episode, we discuss the law of attraction, living a life of liberation, consciousness, meditation, the energy of life, moving past our conditioning and other insightful topics. With this talk, our intention is to help listeners find inspiration to live the life of their dreams and discover greater happiness within themselves and for the world. Thanks so much to Larry for the opportunity to speak on his show. More episodes to come!

The Rooted Center

The Rooted Center is a truly wonderful farm, run by an equally wonderful family. Cultivated on 1 acre of earth near Boulder, Utah the high desert climate certainly provides an interesting mix of ecology as well as natural resources. In late March, we arrived for what would be a week of expansive learning in many aspects of nature and life.

“The Rooted Center is a permaculture principled homestead outside of Boulder, UT. Our interest lies not only in growing food, but also growing people, as we are constantly learning and growing ourselves. Here you will find the unique opportunity to learn small-scale farming and aquaponics coupled with opportunities to learn about Chinese Medicine, internal martial arts, Qigong and woodworking. We have our initial structures in and will be moving into building rocket mass heaters, Cobbing, earthbag building etc. this coming season.”

The primary creative energy behind the cultivation of this land is a warm human being named Sylas, who genuinely embodies the wisdom he has gathered from many years of yogic practice. To experience the energy of the land, as well as the presence of Sylas and his family truly gave our week at the farm a feeling of retreat rather than work trade. We worked on building a greenhouse, cobb benches, tended to chickens, transplanted Chinese herbs, as well as built a sprung floor for the martial arts studio.

Not only did we learn about each building process, but we were able to learn holistic healing modalities including Kung-Fu, herbal medicine, and bodywork. Early one morning, we trained our bodies in the fine art of Kung-Fu, inspiring in us a mindfulness of human movement and energetic expression.

The experience here at The Rooted Center was transformational, to say the least. Embodied teachings from nature create the foundation of intent on this 1-acre permaculture homestead. In all aspects, the acquired wisdom we walked away with contributes to a greater harmonization of mind, body, and spirit. Feeling whole, connected and extremely grateful, we left this magical place with intentions of returning in the future. Blessings to this land and those who inhabit it.

Along the Way

Parked in a field, amongst the scurry of Walmart and torrential thunderstorms, I find happiness. Today seems like a good day to stay mellow after yesterday’s adventures. A leaky roof, some good literature, and a wandering fly keep me company inside my caravan. The weather is dictating the mood; spooky, yet mystical. A coal train passes by, symbolic of my will to keep on. Although unlike the train who’s rails prescribe a path, my journey meanders through a field of unpredictability. Everything I have is pointed toward the land of the stranger. My soul searches to answer questions about our world, and what it means to be human. Throughout this journey, the peaks and valleys of my energy ride waves of intuitive feelings. With each oscillation an overarching moral of presence begins to uncover itself, while each answer I find seems to prompt more questions. What else is there to find along the way?

The Field of Pure Potentiality

Let the adventures begin. This is my first home, rent and mortgage free. With everything I need to live she’s 13 feet of freedom, and will throw me into the field of pure potentiality to chase my dreams. As an exercise of detaching myself from materialism, and a project of sustainability, she definitely has some lessons to teach me. Some might ask if my home has a backyard, and now I can say, it’s everywhere! #offthegrid
